Changing of the Season

Fall is the changing of the season when the fields are harvested.  Do you have a favorite memory or event?  Jesse Tam, autumn season filled with crops of greens, stalks of corn fields, pumpkins, The apples are harvest from orchards ready for the cider press. Time to gather the crops from the long summer days. Oh, the cooler breeze whispering in the air.




Leaves changing colors yellow, orange and red.

The rustling leaves falling to the ground under your feet.
Days are getting shorter.
Nights are growing longer.
Fall is Here.

Hurricane Storm East Coast

The Bahamas is battling Hurricane Joaquin, a major Category 4 storm moving towards the U.S. East coast with rain causing power outages and road closures. Governors along the coast are warning residents to prepare for the storm's progress.  New York state is moving equipment, including generators and pumps into positions.  State emergency officials are tracking the progress of the storm as it is likely to strengthen making its way toward the U.S.


The weather service predicts as much as 10 inches of heavy rain for some areas over the Atlantic Ocean.  Regions with the heaviest rain fall expected from North Carolina and Virginia, parts of Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey. Weather watch continues along the New England area for flooding and high wind.


Several states have declared a state of emergency Thursday and emergency officials are preparing for floods and storms. A reminder for residents and drivers, when roads are flooded or blocked to turn around and drive to a safe location.

Start gathering supplies together and make plans in case of emergency.  The heavy rain can cause power outages in many areas, stock up on necessary items and have important papers ready if you must leave immediately. New Jersey has been hit with heavy rain and strong winds and will continue throughout the weekend.  Officials are watching the progress of the hurricane's path.
